Very welcoming and full of personality! The baked goods are amazing: ham and cheese and the onion and bacon croissant 🤌. No notes, 10/10

Breakfast sandwich was delicious on two separate occasions, coffee was delicious, pastries (many others not photographed bc I dug in) were phenomenal! Decor is cute and unique for a downtown cafe here

Really fun hip environment, very friendly staff . OMG the food though ? This is Syracuse new modern day hidden bakery gem. Sweet or savory or why not both? There is Definitely options for everyone.

I was very impressed by Sugar Grove. The food is excellent and a wide selection of incredible looking pastries. I got a breakfast sandwich on a croissant and it was genuinely perfect. I also got a mocha made with Sky Top coffee beans and loved every sip. My only qualm is with the service. I waited for 5-10 minutes at the register while watching one of the servers empty trash around the cafe (what in my opinion is a secondary priority and something you do when it’s slow, not when you have a line at the register). Both servers/baristas were incredibly kind and helpful though so I wouldn’t say this warrants any stars taken off my review, I just thought it to be some helpful feedback for the staff for the future - to make things run smoother during rushes. The atmosphere is “industrial meets rustic” which isn’t my favorite but has its charm. I really hope this place makes it and becomes a syracuse staple. I look forward to many future visits.

Sorry I forgot to take pictures of the treats

I stopped into the Sugar Grove on Sunday just before 4PM. I have been patiently awaiting the grand opening and was pleasantly surprised when I saw they were open! I immediately had to walk down to South Salina & Jefferson to take a peek! I was amazed at the variety of selection as well as the presentation of the items in the display cases. I will most definitely have to stop back in and sample the deliciously tantalizing assortment baked good like the Swiss Roll Cake, the Carrot Cake, the PB Buckeye Brownie, and the Key Lime Piebars. I am most excited to try the homemade Strawberry Pop Tarts, the selection of macarons, and the lunch sandwiches. For my first visit, I purchased the mixed berry hand pie and the cornflake toffee cookie. The hand pie was everything that you want in a pastry. A perfect flaky, buttery pie dough that had a nice hint of salt. The pastry balanced extremely well with the tart, sweet berry mixture tucked into the delicately crafted and decorated dough. The cornflake toffee cookie was amazing as well. With alternating bites of crunchy cornflakes and soft toffee laced cookie dough, I enjoyed every single bite. I look forward to the amazing things that Sugar Grove can accomplish in the city of Syracuse. Best of luck with your business!! The Hot Pastrami Sandwich for lunch is absolutely divine. The shredded chunks of briny, smoky, beef brisket paired wonderfully with the acidic crunch of the pickled vegetables and the soft and delicate homemade bread. The beef stew that I had as a side was extremely tender, hearty, and thoroughly warming. I also have to say that the Blueberry Poptarts are incredibly divine. I have found my new lunch spot and I couldn’t be happier. The quality and vibe here reminds me of a high class cafe from my time in Providence, RI. Welcome to Syracuse!

I really love this place. I work down the street and come in often. The staff is always so cool to me. All the food is delicious. Especially the oatmeal cream pie is really exceptional. Can't beat the environment for a work meeting or casual hangout. Or even just to decompress yourself. You'll spend a few bucks, but its 2025 and in my experience it's well worth it for the quality and to support a business that adds great flavor to downtown. They've quickly monopolized my lunch time business. Thanks to the entire staff here.

I got to try this place out through the too good to go app and I was greatly surprised and blessed 🙏🏽not only does everything including the location look absolutely beautiful but what I received was some of the most delicious baked goods🤤 I’ve ever had. I received an apple cinnamon bun that taste like croissant dough instead of regular cinnamon bun, which made it like 10 times better also a received a savory croissant with ham and macaroni inside, which was a great surprise didn’t expect it to be failed I highly recommend !!!

I simply ordered a chai latte, but it was a delightful experience. The drink was not overly hot, which made it much more pleasant to enjoy. The barista was welcoming, and the atmosphere was excellent. You're sure to love visiting this cafe, especially when combined with a trip to the nearby library.

I love the "vibe" of this place, artsy, comfortable, eclectic and fun. The homemade pastries are beautiful, delicious and great quality. I had the Blueberry Pancake Latte and it was wonderful. I've had breakfast sandwiches and pastries and everything I've tried has been excellent.
